I saw this program mentioned in the iriver thread. People please tell me more! I've never heard of it before! I've gone over to the website and it looks great! Is it difficult to use and set up? How much does it cost? Once you have it set up in your mp3 player, are you done? No more messing around? Thanks all, sounds like exciting news in the accessible mp3 world.
Firstly it is open source and constantly under development, so it is free software. It is great, basically replacement firmware for your mp3 jukebox, archos, iriver, ipod, etc.
At one point in the installation process you need sighted assistance, that is, when you flash the new firmware. otherwise its completely acccessible and this need only be done once.
Cheers
Sam
Actually, there's a blind man's guide for flashing rockbox with the archos players. I would assume this will be updated when an official release is made for other players.
